According to a new report by TMZ, Russell Simmons is being sued for $5 million dollars after ANOTHER woman has come forward saying that she too was sexually assaulted by the music moguel.
In the lawsuit, Jennifer Jarosik claims Simmons invited her to his house in 2016 and propositioned her for sex, which she declined, but that’s not where it ended unfortunately. She says Simmons became aggressive, pushed her onto his bed, and as she fought back, he allegedly knocked her off the bed, hit her in the head and pounced on her. She was in such “shock and fear” and he reportedly proceeded to rape her the report claims.
The two apparently met back in 2006, where they became friends and shared a passion for meditation, yoga and a vegan diet. Jarosik says she rendered "sick, sore, lame, disabled and disordered, both internally and externally and suffered from extreme emotional distress.” With that said, she is seeking $5 million dollars in punitive damages and unspecified actual damages.
Jarosik is sadly just the latest of over a dozen women who’ve come forward over the past months accusing Simmons of various forms of sexual misconduct. Most recently, two women came forward a couple weeks ago, saying Russell raped them as well in 1983 and 1991 respectively.
