Sacramento rapper OMB Peezy's has shared his debut album Loyalty Over Love today. The album features a collaboration with Sacramento's biggest rapper of the moment, Mozzy, with "Proud." Mozzy opens the song with the pained street tales he has become known for, taking over just about half the song before Peezy enters on the hook. More than any West Coast rapper, Peezy has the bluesy tone of a young Boosie, and he uses the subtle tunefulness of his voice to undercut his words with emotion and regret. His delivery is a good contrast to Mozzy's and could easily maintain the dynamic of a joint project. But we already know Mozzy well, and this is Peezy's time to shine, as he does across the new full length alongside features from TK Kravitz, DTB, and Paper Lovee. Listen to the full project here.
The album is one of two projects from E-40's Sik Wid It Records to be released Friday, the other being Nef The Pharaoh's The Big Chang Theory, which also happens to feature a guest appearance from Peezy. Listen to it here.
