Seahawks bring in Morris, but still considering Kaepernick.

One day after it was reported that the Seattle Seahawks postponed a workout with free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the team has decided to sign QB Stephen Morris, according ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Morris, who signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2014, has not taken a regular-season NFL snap in his career. According to NFL.com, he has also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins, who waive him last year.

The timing of the signing is sure to raise some eyebrows but the addition of Morris does not mean that the Seahawks are unwilling to give Kaepernick a workout. As of now, Russell Wilson and Morris are the only QBs on Seattle's roster.

According to Adam Schefter, Kaepernick's workout with the Seahawks, scheduled for Monday, was postponed when Kaepernick declined to stop kneeling for the national anthem next season. That said, the Seahawks are reportedly still considering bringing him in for a workout.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Seahawks general manager John Schneider and head coach Pete Carroll want Kaepernick to consider how he wants to proceed on everything, not just as it pertains to the anthem protests, and then get together at a later date when his plans are formed.

No NFL team has worked out Kaepernick since he became a free agent after the 2016 season.
