Joyner Lucas links up with a legend for some new music.

In 2017, Joyner Lucas came through with a big year, dropping the powerful "I'm Not Racist," while showcasing his technical prowess on remixes to "Gucci Gang" and "Bank Account." With speculation that the Massachusetts rapper has already solidified a spot on the upcoming XXL Freshman Class, Joyner continues to work on his next project, a likely follow-up to last year's 508-507-2209. On his popular "Gucci Gang" remix, Joyner alluded to his situation with his current label, rapping "Atlantic told me that my flow a hundred, but my album ain't come unless I got a fuckin' single."

Well, it appears that the hunt for a single has commenced. A few days back, Joyner and Timbaland linked up for a studio session, and ended up recording what sounds like a potential banger. While the clip isn't too long, it's enough to give us an idea of the instrumental, which is reminiscent of some of Timbo's vintage work. What's really interesting, however, is the flow Joyner employs; while he has proven to be one of the game's most versatile rhymers, it seems as if he's setting things off with a trap-inspired flow. It might seem a little out of character, but Joyner has proven to possess one of the game's deadliest flows, so I'm eager to see where this one goes.

Check out the footage below, and sound off. Is Joyner's new music shaping up to your liking? From the sound of it, this might be the hit Atlantic was looking for. Stay tuned for more news on Joyner Lucas and Timbaland's upcoming collaboration.
