Vic Mensa made the most of his slot at the Governors Ball Music Festival yesterday, as he decided to debut not one, but two brand new tracks for the festival goers.
While we're still waiting on an official album announcement from Vic, these two songs are the strongest indication yet that we might be getting a new project in the near future. He released his debut studio album, The Autobiography in July of last year, so now would be the perfect time to start getting the hype train rolling.
The first song that Vic premiere has is highly likely to become a future single, as it features some pretty high-profile guests: G-Eazy and the Migos, or at least Quavo. The song will reportedly be titled "Reverse," and finds Vic rapping over a swaggy electric guitar riff while bragging about his cars. G-Eazy's verse can clearly be heard, while the video cuts off a little after Quavo begins rapping.
The second track finds Vic solo, but much more amped up. The song is fittingly called, "We Rowdy," and is a high-energy banger aimed at making crowds go buckwild.
Besides debuting new songs, Vic Mensa has been keeping himself busy. He's recently signed with a new talent agency to help him with his touring efforts, and he's also taken firm stances against gun violence, taking part in the March For Our Lives protest in Washington D.C.
What do you think about Vic Mensa's new songs? Are you excited for a new project from the Chicago rapper?
