One of the biggest names in hip hop, T.I. enjoyed a return to form with his latest LP Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head. The album has enjoyed critical and commercial success, and also coincides with Tip’s contract with Atlantic running out. Recently he proposed a deal that would include signing him, and all the members of Grand Hustle, but contrary to rumors, the Kang is still with Atlantic and is remaining mum on the subject until a deal is official .
When asked about the reported bidding wars by other major labels, Mr. Harris was in no rush to speak badly about Atlantic, “I respect my present partners at Atlantic records and had there ever been a separation between them and myself I would respect my new partners in such a way that I'm not gonna sensationalize anything. He went onto add that he would still like to stay at that label if they can come to a contractual agreement, “I'd love to stay where I am. It'd have to be shown that the feeling is mutual and the way you do that is on paper with commitment to dollars."
Tip’s hefty proposed contract is for approximately $75 million and includes, “3 albums, 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film and TV rights, corporate endorsement deals, as well as exclusive signing of all Grand Hustle artists".
