Dave East with Trouble and Murda Beatz on the decks, is an astounding lineup to leave at the bottom of the order. But alas, East chose to save some of his magic for the latter half of Karma 2, an album which once again proves his versatility. The crowd list of accessories on each song is kept to a minimum, with Dave East generally earning his pole position no matter the challenge.
In the case of "I Ain't Goin," Dave East adopts a more abridged delivery, one that suits both Trouble and the time signature on the beat. East raps like his meal depended on it. Construction metal stands in the way, but Dave in his recent form is man conditioned to do the improbable, and in this moment it's a lavish display. Trouble yearns for the same, but with every triumph comes a moment of recollection. Both men have are not past the point of understanding the true meaning of prosperity. They sure as hell "Ain't Goin" back to minding the picket fence.
Quotable Lyrics:
If I was born in slave days, they had to store me, I'm so rebellious
Fuck n****s jealous, they always have been, I'ma tell you
My n****, I'm telling you
I don't fuck with has-beens, I save ya
Young n**** save ya
Anything we have been, when beef, I bring all the flame
I guess I'm trapping no failure
