It was reported on Friday that Lil Durk has signed a new deal with Interscope Records, and is set to drop his third studio album, Signed to the Streets 3, via Alamo/Interscope later this year. To coincide with the announcement, the OTF rapper also released a new song & accompanying video as well called “Remembrance,” which will see life on the upcoming OTF compilation project Only the Family Involved, Vol. 1, dropping July 31.
Over production from Young Chop, Durk keeps it 100 on the track and remembers his life growing up in Chicago, even asking fans to “make Kanye black again” throughout the track. Durk says the track is ”about remembering certain times, situations, and moments in my past that shaped part of what I am today. The video shows my life in the present but the song touches on things I experienced to get to the present.”
