"Pacific Rim: Uprising" Releases Second Official Trailer

This second trailer showcases some pretty giant monster destroying Earth.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is gearing up for its March 23 theatrical release by debuting a second official trailer to get audiences excited for the upcoming sequel. The film showcases the how rampant destruction and subsequent peace 10 years after the original took place was a hoax, revealing that the narrative from the first outing was essentially a prelude for the destruction that will occur in this latest installment. 

This new trailer also reveals some pertinent information surrounding John Boyega's character Jake, a once-rebellious Jaeger pilot who assumes the role of protagonist to protect the planet like his father in the previous film. With the help of his estranged sister Mako Mori (played by Rinko Kikuchi), Jake links up with Mako's elite team of mech pilots to become mankind's most powerful guard battling the potential for mass extinction caused by Kaiju and his band of cataclysmic misfits. 

It is also revealed that someone had let Kaiju and his powerful force of colossal monsters into Earth; peep the trailer below:

In other blockbuster news, Disney has released some information about the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, which will Atlanta's Donald Glover assuming the role of Lando. The studio details that "through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes."
