Stormzy Brit Awards
Stormzy wins big at Brit Awards, marks the occasion with biting political remarks.

Stormzy was the big kahuna at last night's Brit Awards, taking home the British Solo Male Artist award and the British Album of the Year award in dominant fashion. To top it all off, he was chosen to perform a closing number on the broadcast.

During his performance, Stormzy took a moment to add political commentary within his songs:

"Yo, Theresa May, where's the money for Grenfell? What, you thought we just forgot about Grenfell? You're criminals, and you got the cheek to call us savages. You should do some jail time, you should pay some damages. You should burn your house down and see if you can manage this."

Squarely aimed at British PM Theresa May, the biting remarks are critical of British Government's failure to support victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, a tragic event that took 71 lives this past June. The stunt had the intended impact of incurring a response almost immediately, according to Guardian correspondent Jessica Elgot.
