Tony Lanez previewed "Number Out The Gym," as part of his #FargoFridays song reveal. The short clip showed Tory Lanez and his yeoman playing a game of high stakes craps. Now that it's surfaced, little room is left to the imagination as to his career-leanings at this day in history, a 12 hour window which has produced a windfall of rap releases including Denzel, G Herbo and Dave East.
By my count, "Numbers Out The Gym" pencils in as Tory's 35th installment in the series. In the past, the Toronto rapper has released EPs just for sport, in other instances he safeguarded his best material for capital gain. The rapper/singer set before us, is caught somewhere in the middle of those two distinct distribution models.
The full scope of "Numbers Out The Gym," or at least its visual story revolves around the same craps game he previewed before the drop. The video single covers relatively familiar ground, of him defending his street savvy from those questioning his mettle.
Quotable Lyrics:
Brand new message that my Glock came with an extend
Trap doing numbers out the gym
Used to have to sleep on the couch at my best friend's
Used to think I gotta make my exit
Then the trap started booming, it was pregnant
And we smokin' presidential, no election
And I don't gotta beg nobody for no breakfast, no
'Cause shit is real, n****s they don't know the way I came up
