Waka Flocka burst onto the scene with his punishing debut album Flockaveli back in 2010, but his follow up Triple F Life was a decidedly less abrasive. The rapper had previously announced that the proper sequel to his debut, Flockaveli 2, would be dropping July 5th, but in an interview with Toronto's Flow 93.5, Flocka now says that fans will have to wait until next year-- but they won't be disappointed.
"You know something? I wasn't giving all my people—the fans my all," said Waka of the upcoming effort. "So I wanna really go in. I wanna give a real hard album. So I'ma aim for like first quarter [2014]—January."
On how far along the album is at this point, Flocka insisted "I'm done, really," explaining "I just wanna perfect it. I don't wanna just throw music out no more.
The Bricksquad Monopoly leader confirmed that his classic production team would be involved, along with some newer collaborators. "I still got Lex, Southside on there. Jim Jonsin, Supa Dupa, Rico Love, my new producers..." he said of the beatwork on the album.
Waka also commented on his recent team up with Amanda Bynes. "She just wanna do a club record. Ain't nobody go harder in the clubs than me." The rapper stressed that it would likely be a one-time collab. "I feel like I could pipe her up one time, go and snatch that up real quick. What she do from there, that's on her career," but didn't rule out further work in the future if the song were to become a hit. "If that one record go crazy, ain't no telling if we'll do a next one!"
