As if releasing 25 songs a couple of weeks ago wasn't enough, Wiz Khalifa has already returned with a brand new track produced by The Alchemist. Wiz has been on an absolute tear in the last few weeks, releasing Rolling Papers 2 to his hungry audience. We can never have enough Wiz content and, like he notes on the new single, "Sleep for what?" The recording artist is working hard on his craft with no time for rest and for his most recent showing, he teamed up with The Alchemist for some old school production.
On their first-ever collaboration, Wiz spits over a classic boom bap beat. We wouldn't expect anything else from Alc but the instrumental is absolute heat here. Wiz details how he's gotten to this point and as he films movies like "Universal Studios," he uses a more self-conscious approach than in some of his other tracks. This may be a sign that Khalifa is not necessarily finished releasing new music. With Rolling Papers 2 only dropping two weeks ago, the rapper may be gearing up for another project soon. We won't get our hopes up but the timing seems strategic.
Compared to his work on RP2, how does this single sound to you guys?
Quotable Lyrics:
It's all part of the plan
For us to get ours and you get yours
Bouncing up the street in a '64
Smoking weed, thanking God that things ain't how they used to be
