Jay-Z's legacy continues to be showcased by Tidal.

More than two decades after the release of his studio debut, Reasonable Doubt, Jay-Z has evolved into not just one of the greatest rappers of all time, but also into a man who has come to occupy a special place among music industry moguls of today. His entrepreneurial efforts, including helping get his own streaming service, Tidal, off the ground is just one of the many moves that make him such a legend. Now, ahead of being the recipient of the Salute To Industry Icons Award this coming weekend, the music platform is continuing to trumpet his accomplishments.

In a new page dedicated to the celebration of Jay as an icon, Tidal presents their users with a detailed summation of his feats as a rapper and power player in the music industry. As per the write-up:

The Icons Award confirms that JAY-Z has clearly mattered, not just for his successful recording career, but also for his work as a businessman, and his philanthropic endeavors. Released in 2017, '4:44' provided a blueprint for a successful career and a life of fulfillment, and altered the year’s creative landscape. Fittingly, that moment has been recognized by 8 GRAMMY® award nominations.

It also confirmed that, despite an award for a career’s worth of achievement and difference making in the community, that the arc of JAY-Z’s impact on music and society is a long way from being finished.

This year's Grammy ceremony marks the first time that Hov has been nominated for Record of the Year and Album of the Year, the former being for "The Story of O.J." Even if he doesn't manage to walk away with those awards come Sunday, Jay-Z will already be a winner in the eyes of record industry giants who have helped dub him an icon.
