Over the past few weeks, the West Coast collective Brockhampton have been premiering new music throughout their Beats 1 radio show, Things We Lost In The Fire, including the release of songs like "1999 WILDFIRE" and "1998 TRUMAN.” Today however, they decide switch things up on us and release their latest offering ahead of tonight’s Beats 1 show, and that being the song “1997 DIANA,” which comes with the message: “I really hope your dreams come true, please allow yourself to realize them.”
Serving as the latest offering from The Best Years Of Our Lives, the boys also shared a high octane Kevin Abstract-directed video as well, which takes place in a rowdy locker room & gym. Check it out and let us know what you think.
Record available on iTunes at midnight. Look for more from the collective to be on the way, and don't be surprised if its titled “1996 …” considering the pattern thus far.
Quotable Lyrics:
I think I got like five more albums inside my mind
This that shit, that do or die
Make your grandmama cry
Keep some baggy jeans on me
Keep a Billie Jean on me
Got that New Orleans on me
Smellin' like a queen
- Kevin Abstract
