After becoming the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double, Philadelphia 76ers rookie Markelle Fultz was quickly humbled by his teammates.
As Fultz exited the arena following his 13-point, 10-rebound and 10-assist performance, he videotaped the scene in the team parking lot where some of his teammates, including ROY candidate Ben Simmons, were flexing their luxury vehicles. In addition to Simmons' $280,000 Ferrari, Fultz also shared footage of a Lambo and a $300,000 Rolls-Royce, though it's unclear which of his teammates were driving those cars.
Despite being surrounded by a fleet of six-figure whips, the 19-year old rookie says he's still driving a Honda Accord. "I gotta step my game up, fellas. I got a triple-double ... it's terrible," Fultz says in the clip.
According to HoopsHype, Fultz earned a little more than $7 million this season as part of his rookie contract and that number will continue to jump in the next couple of seasons, especially if Philly picks up the team option in 2019-20. Next year, Fultz is set to rake in $8,339,880, meaning he might be able to upgrade from the Accord.
That's not his focus right now, though.
