This is that dope on dope, smoke but don't choke on, it's the shit.

Though many are quick to claim Andre 3000 in their top-ten lists, are we to simply forget that Big Boi dropped a classic back in 2010? Lofty praise to be sure, but Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty has more than withstood the test of time, with a futuristic sonic aesthetic and timeless blammers. Consider as much the next time you forget to put due respect on Daddy Fat Saxx' many monikers. In any event, skeptics need only throw on "Fo Yo Sorrows" to be converted. If the gravelly words of George Clinto's amazing intro don't pull you in, perhaps all who wander are indeed lost.

With a somewhat eerie yet undeniably funk-fueled instrumental, Big Boi navigates the weed anthem with a dexterous flow; he sounds rejuvenated, as if so high he's aged backward like Benjamin Button. Throw in some laid-back preaching from the one and only Too Short, and "Fo Yo Sorrows" remains one worthy of revisiting well beyond the confines of Throwback Thursday.

Quotable Lyrics

Just to let you know that everything is straight
I say stank you very much, 'cause we appreciate the hate
Now go get yourself a handgun, you fucking with a great
Put it to your mouth and squeeze it like your morning toothpaste
Kill yo self, like Sean Kingston, suicidal for a title
My recitals are vital and may be needed for survival
Like the Bible or any other good book that you read
Why are 75% of our youth reading magazines?
