Lil West has returned with his multilayered new single "No More."

It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Lil West has never been afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve, and like many of his contemporaries, can balance between melodic vocals and a more traditional rap style. Today, the rapper comes through with "No More," a new single that finds him exploring new sonic territory, and further honing in on his sonic aesthetic.

The production tandem of Distance Decay and Hovenchy provide West with a solid foundation, blending a subdued yet melancholic synth line with a truly boisterous bassline. The juxtaposition gives credence to West's shifting perspective, mirroring his transition from lovelorn vocalist to rejuvenated rapper. Plus, the instrumental is simply nice, with a pleasant, lullaby-esque aesthetic.
