Leon Bridges drops two Spotify Exclusives in one day.

Leon Bridges is lucky enough to hold reserved parking in his field of choice. The modern purveyor of soul just released a 2nd album in May and is entering a partnership with Spotify for exclusive in-house recordings. The first of which is his do-over of "Beyond," the 4th number on his sophomore album Good Thing. His second offering is his take on a record you'd never think him to cover, karaoke favorite "Pony." The Ginuwine classic helped champion a new era of sexually euphemistic language in modern rhythm & blues, a slant which helped him enter both the US Top 100 and the minds of sexually stranded women.

Leon Bridges's rendition is fully-instrumentalized, giving his restraint the innuendo of a audience member occupying the back row with intensely penetrating eyes. Over the course of this encounter he only glances over passingly, allowing him the remote possibility of connection. The audience member watches on as Ginuwine's borrowed lexicon forges an identity all of its own, in more incisive detail.

Leon Bridges' new-look "Beyond" can be streamed below. Tell us what you think of both session drops?

Quotable Lyrics:

Sitting here flossing
Peeping your steelo
Just once if I have the chance
The things I would do to you
You and your body, every single portion
Send chills up and down your spine
Juices flowing down your thigh
