Hate him or love him, there’s no denying the fact that Lebron James is one the best NBA players of all-time. And if you need a stat to back that up, the King just became one of only 7 players in NBA history to reach 30,000 points in their career, which he did Tuesday night in San Antonio against the Spurs in a losing effort.
Prior to game, James oddly congratulated himself on Instagram with a lengthy post, talking to his younger self and reflecting on his career, which you should check out right here if you missed it. But after James reached the 30K club, and the game was over, several fellow peers and fans have been congratulating the King on social media, including Kobe Bryant & James’ good homie Drake.
“From #Akron to #30k @KingJames well done my brotha,” Kobe tweeted out. While Drake decided to upload a video on Uninterrupted of him congratulating the King.
“Lebron I'm honored to be apart of yet another historic night for you. 30,000 career points is incredible. Seems like every time we look up, you’re setting another milestone or breaking another record And I always tell you you are one of the most inspirational people in my life. Im honored to call you a brother,” Drake says before later adding that’s inspired to go to work tonight. “Every time you do something like this I always try to get in the studio and like make the song that would go with the moment. So I'm excited to go to work tonight.”
However, the only negative part of the night was that the outcome for the Cavs. Losing for the 10th time in 13 games, the Cavs have been imploding over the past few days, and things aren’t looking good at the moment. But we all know that’s not because of Lebron James though.
Check out Drake’s congratulatory clip (below), as well as Kobe's tweet.
