LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball still have not suited up for Lithuanian basketball team Vytautas Prienai, but fans of the Big Baller Brand will soon be able to purchase their jerseys exclusively via Amazon.
According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, the team has shipped approximately 500 game jerseys, half LaMelo jerseys and half LiAngelo, to an Amazon warehouse in the U.S. and is expected to ship more to deliver late in the first week of January.
16-year old LaMelo and 19-year old LiAngelo signed one-year deals with Vytautas Prienai a couple of weeks ago and will report to Lithuania on January 3rd. The brothers, both of whom dropped out of school this year, are expected to make their debuts in a Baltic League game January 9th.
LaMelo, a 6'5 point guard, is widely considered to be a more valuable prospect than his older brother LiAngelo and is (was) among the Top-10 players for the Class of 2019. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski notes that one NBA GM said that LiAngelo is "not on any of our scouting lists — even the extended lists."
Vytautas Prienai recently revealed the numbers that LiAngelo and LaMelo will wear for the club when they make their season debut - LaMelo will be sticking with the #1 he wore at Chino Hills High School while LiAngelo will wear the #3.
