Post Malone's album, Beerbongs & Bentleys came with short notice but made a heavy commercial impact. The album went platinum in less than a day after its release and not only did he break the first day streaming record for an album but he also had the largest first week streaming record. It should come as no surprise that the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and his single, "Psycho" has knocked Drake's "God's Plan" off of the second position on the Hot 100. While that might be an accomplishment, the singer has just made history on the Billboard Hot 100 as well.
Post Malone now has the most amount of singles in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 in history and now, beats out The Beatles and J. Cole for that record. As of right now, he has 9 songs that are sitting within the top 20 and another 9 singles that are also charting on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition, three of the tracks are sitting in the top 10 with "Psycho" (no.2), "Better Now" (no. 7) and "Rockstar" (no. 8). Prior to this, both Cole and The Beatles had six songs each charting in the top 20 simultaneously.
With his latest record, Post Malone is now the third act in music history to have at least that many songs chart at the same time. Drake still holds the record with 24 simultaneous and has had 18 songs chart at the time time in four separate weeks. The Weeknd also had 18 tracks on the Hot 100 in 2016 with the release of Starboy.
