Houston Rockets All-Star guard James Harden graces the cover of GQ Magazine's May issue and the photos are taking the internet by storm. The Beard appears in several colorful fits as part of the May issue, including a bright yellow Supreme jacket, a $3,950 floral Gucci jacket, a $1,880 Craig Green hoodie and a pair of glittery, pink Comme des Garçon shorts.
Harden chopped it up with GQ's Devin Gordon in New Orleans for the cover story, which ranges in topics from what makes his basketball game so good and his plans for the Rockets in the future, as well as his business ventures, his love life and his relationship with his mom.
"My mom—she hangs out with, like, moms of other players that I don't even talk to," Harden says, amused.
How does that happen?
"There are mom meetings, things like that."
You're joking, right?
"No, I'm serious. Mom meetings. That makes me happy, 'cause they get to talk about their sons behind our backs. She deserves that."
Harden, who is once again in the discussion for NBA MVP, finished the season with an NBA-best 30.4 points per game, as well as 8.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds. He also led the Houston Rockets to an NBA-best 65-17 record, which sets them up for a first round matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Playoffs.
