Mac Miller is getting ready to drop his fifth studio album, SWIMMING. Over the past few months, he was relatively quiet in the public eye and on social media but as he approaches the release of his next album, he's broke his silence and fed the fans some new music. Earlier in the month, he dropped off the first single off of the project, "Self Care." Today, he follows it up with his funky new single, "What's The Use?"
Mac Miller returns with another single to build anticipation for SWIMMING. "What's The Use" comes through with a funky new track that showcases Mac Miller's versatility. The rapper tapped some friends to help bring this song together. Mac taps The Internet's Syd and Dam-Funk for some additional vocals and brings hip hop's favorite uncle, Snoop Dogg on board as well. The song was produced by Pomo and Mac Miller brought Thundercat through to handle the funky baseline.
"What's The Use" is another promising effort from Mac Miller. His new album is set to drop on August 3rd and by the sound of his last two singles, it sounds like it could be one of the best projects in his catalog to date. Keep your eyes peeled for it.
Quotable Lyrics
Look how far we came
Still they throwin' dirt on my name
But it never worry my brain
Hats turnin' like a hurricane swervin'
Tell the sun, get up out of my shade
