Jay Park wants to know "why you actin surprised."

There are a couple hits on Jay Park's new EP "Ask About Me." FSU is one of them, featuring the Albanian (but Lybian-born) Gashi and Rich The Kid. Throughout whole mixtape, and especially in this song, Jay Park gets at the hip-hop public for not recognizing him as he should: a virtuoso of many genres, forms and professions. When he says "I do TV and magazines shoots, shows, then go right back in the booth," he's not exaggerating. The former K-Pop star started as a breakdancer and model, then became an R&B singer and now, he's rapper. The New York Times describes the ease with which Park does so many different jobs as follows: "Jay Park is not just an artist but also his own P.R. agent, fan club president and TV network." In other words, if you want something done right, do it yourself.

Park also released a video for the song, watch it here.

Quotable Lyrics

I do R&B but they want me to rap
You rappers ain't doin' your job right
The Roc called me in to come up and just pick up your slack
I son’ed the whole K-pop industry
The moment I started, on Father’s Day they call me daddy
I’ll put out an album and win an award
And then say, "OK, cool," and be back in the lab
I do TV and magazines shoots, shows, then go right back in the booth
