Eminem hasn't put out an album in a minute, but his profile in the UK sees to be higher than ever. After announcing his top billing spot for both the Leeds and Reading festivals in England, Em has been asked to headline yet another festival overseas.
Eminem will headline the "Glasgow Summer Sessions", a new ten-day festival held in Scotland. Em is the first announced act of the gigantic fest.
It seems that Em's previous high-profile appearances in the UK are what keep his status as a headliner going strong. “His performance at T In The Park and his previous stadium show at Hampden were spectacular, so this gig will be one of the events of the year.” said organizer Geoff Ellis, adding, “We’re delighted to announce Eminem as the first major act for Glasgow Summer Sessions”.
The Glasgow Summer Sessions will take place in Bellahouston Park starting on August 20.
