It seems like a lot of movies are beginning to make a stronger emphasis on the quality of the soundtrack's they're putting out and a lot more rappers and prominent artists are stepping up to help curate and produce them. A few weeks a go, it was revealed that Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg would be putting together the soundtrack for the upcoming Black Panther movie. They've released a few cuts off of it, one of which is also slated to be the first single off Jay Rock's third album. However, they seem to have an even bigger collaboration on the soundtrack.
The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar have a new collaboration together for the Black Panther OST, Complex reports. The collaboration is still ambiguous as the song's title nor a release date but it's definitely exciting to know they'll be reuniting once again. The two of them collaborated on The Weeknd's latest album Starboy on the song "Sidewalks." They've proved to have great chemistry on wax so to hear what they have in store for the soundtrack is exciting.
The Weeknd recently teased a potential contribution to the soundtrack on Instagram a few days a go after he posted a picture of Black Panther on his Instagram a few days a go.
