Tamar Braxton has chosen to document her brave new aesthetic decision on Instagram for all to witness. After her recent split with beau Vincent Herbert, Braxton is liberating herself from all that negative energy by shaving her head in a bid to start anew. She is apparently done with weaves, wigs, and criticism, and has decided to take matters into her own hands, or, her trusty hairdresser's.
Braxton started with a simple Instagram video which documented her coiffeuse in the midst of removing the singer's mane. The post, which is simply captioned "Finally Free," is also soundtracked by Bobby Brown's seminal hit "My Prerogative."
In an adjoining post, Braxton proudly declares her barren scalp as an act of personal redemption, writing how "I’m over feeling captive to a wig, weave, people, people’s comments & opinions hell…even my OWN feelings! WE can choose to stop these things from having the power and victory over us!! And for me, that starts TODAY."
Braxton has reasserted a sense of dominion over her own life, shaving her head as a way of stripping away the negativity that has mystified her true essence.
