Artists have recently been dropping 20+ track albums in an effort to rack up streams on Spotify and Apple Music, but it seems Kanye West's 8th studio album Ye will achieve big numbers at only 7 tracks in length.
As of publishing, West's album currently occupies the top 7 spots on the U.S. Apple Music and Spotify Charts, as pointed out by Complex. Kanye revealed as much Saturday night when he shared a screenshot of his accomplishment. "For all my dogs that stayed down with me, we up again," he captioned the celebratory post, using a quote from "No Mistakes."
"All Mine," currently the most streamed track on Spotify in the U.S., is approaching 3 million streams since its release Friday. Each song has achieved over 1,600,000 streams on the platform so far.
The LP was debuted via live stream from an exclusive listening party in Wyoming Thursday night. It was uploaded to streaming services early Friday morning. The Kanye solo effort is the second of 5 projects scheduled to be produced by Kanye West within a month. Pusha T's DAYTONA was the first, and a collaborative project between Kanye West and Kid Cudi is due next week. Projects from Nas and Teyana Taylor will follow. Each of the albums will be 7 tracks.
