Clayton Armstrong Hill, a man who confessed to being an accessory after the fact to the murder of hip-hop legend Notorious B.I.G. (although he was never trialed for it) has reportedly escaped from a prison camp in Atlanta, Georgia.
Hill has apparently been on the run from law officials for about a week. U.S. Magistrate Judge Russell G. Vineyard signed off on documents reporting that Hill walked away from the medium security facility he was being held at last week. He was in prison on tax fraud charges.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Clay M. Cleveland confirmed in an affidavit as reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "I was notified by officials … that inmate Clayton Armstrong Hill walked off the ground. A bed count was conducted to verify Hill’s status, and at approximately 6:40 p.m. Hill was identified as missing."
Hill confessed to helping out the shooter of Biggie and covering up the murder in his 2011 prison memoirs.
