Who is the best player in the Eastern Conference?

There has been an enormous power vacuum left in the wake of LeBron James' move to the Western Conference. James is talented enough that any team he joined in the Eastern Conference was sure to make it to the NBA Finals, but now with him gone, things will change. The Celtics look like the favorites to take the conference next year, but there are a few teams that can't be slept on. The Philadelphia 76ers are one of those teams, and their combination of young talent will undoubtedly mature to become one of the most potent threats in all of basketball.

Skip Bayless is known for his polarizing statements, and the sports journalists hopped on Twitter to declare that in the wake of LeBron's departure from Cleveland, the 76ers' Joel Embiid is now the best player in the Eastern Conference. The Milwaukee Bucks' superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, most commonly known as the "Greek Freak," felt some type of way about Bayless' declarations, and took to Twitter to throw his name in the ring as well. Responding to Bayless, Giannis wrote, "That’s all I needed for this summer thank you skip! #Motivation." The Bucks will have a much easier time in the playoffs with LeBron James and the Cavs no longer being a threat, but the 76ers, Celtics, and Wizards will be waiting to stop them from succeeding.
