The year of the beef continues for Azealia Banks.
Not long after she threatened to take legal action against fellow rapper Remy Ma for those fake racy pictures and the social media fallout thereafter, Banks has her sights set on Wendy Williams next, stating that she won't let her hurtful comments while moving through a segment on her TV show go unpunished.
According to Billboard, Banks announced the plan via Instagram on Christmas Day, stating that she's planning to name Williams in a lawsuit in 2018. There's in indication of how soon that will be, but her now-deleted post nevertheless had a lot to say on the issue. The last five years taught me when you’re an Azealia Banks stan, you can make it thru anything,” the picture read, perhaps implying that Williams' fixation with the young artist has crossed over into that "stan" territory. In the caption, Banks noted the folliwing: “TOUGH AS STEEL… Wendy is getting sued top of 2018."
Wendy Williams was raked over the social media coals for her statement about Banks that alluded to prostitution activity as a means for the rapper to stay afloat financially. "Now we understand how she gets her money,” the talk-show host said during a broadcast earlier this month. “She’s got no kids and she’s 26, with a vaginal rejuvenation? Wow. she works hard for her money.”
There's no word on what kind of damages Banks will be seeking from Williams and her camp for the pain and emotional anguish that those words caused, but one thing is for sure: the enemies won't be burying the hatchet anytime soon.
