Maxine Waters keeps it real in the face of death threats.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) is proving herself to be one of the most bad ass people in congress, and she continues to refuse to bow down to pressure from the President, and some of his more upset supporters.

According to Complex, it all started after Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant because of her role as the mouthpiece for the Donald Trump administration. The discourse on that issue has been going on for some time now, but Waters was encouraged by the incident and called on protesters to confront members of the administration wherever they go.

Donald Trump wasn't happy about that, and decided to send out one of his world famous Tweets where he insults whoever made him the maddest that day. Here, Trump calls her "an extraordinarily low IQ person" who has "called for harm to supporters." He then caps it off by offering a threat of his own, saying, "Be careful what you wish for Max!"

While Donald Trump was lying when he said that she called for harm to his supporters, the supporters in question didn't care. They've since channeled their outrage by sending death threats to Waters' office, to which she had the perfect response. At an immigration rally in California, Maxine had this to say to those threatening her:

"And I know there are those who are talking about censoring me, talking about kicking me out of congress, talking about shooting me, talking about hanging me. All I have to say is this: if you shoot me, you'd better shoot straight. There's nothing like a wounded animal."

How many people in congress can you name that would say something that bad ass? Check out her statement at around 3:45 in the video below.
