Britt McHenry believes she was let go because she is white and made too much.

Former ESPN reporter Britt McHenry claims she was laid off by the company in 2017 due to the fact that she is white and "made too much."

McHenry, who currently serves as a Fox News commentator and host of “Like It Or Not” on WTTG Fox 5 in Washington, opened up about being laid off after being trolled on twitter about being dropped from NFL coverage. She has since deleted the tweets, but not before the comments were screen-shotted and spread. “No I was demoted because I was white & I made too much. First to go. Actually…” McHenry wrote, during the twitter exchange.

In a reply to Deadspin, McHenry tried to clarify some of her comments, saying, “I think there were a number of factors into laying me off.” She also believes her conservative views contributed to her being let go by ESPN. “Trust me, I wouldn’t make a claim without proof. One day in a book. One day soon,” she said.

Jemele Hill, a former colleague of McHenry, simply tweeted "LOL" in response to an article about McHenry's claims.
