Starlito delivers "Where I've Been" off his new project "At WAR With Myself Too."

Starlito is back with a second helping of At WAR With Myself, the first a record that helped him situate himself in the rap game back in 2011. As an important thread bearer for Nashville hip hop, Starlito doesn't spend too much letting persuasive elements get in his ear. On "Where I've Been," Starlito flips the Bobby Caldwell classic "What You Won't Do For Love" to unimaginably high levels of bass, his performance on the mic notwithstanding.

"Where I've Been" is what I refer to as a mature hip hop record. Starlito raps with self-asurance, and the understanding of what his fan like from him. The cover art on At WAR With Myself Too really says it all. A first person view of a "gamer" loses sign of consciousness as he delves deeper in to the false narrative displayed on his TV screen.

Starlito speaks directly to a certain type of "no bullshit" personality. Case being: rappers claim "real" are often caught offiside but never Starlito. His level of aloofness is no deterrent, it's just an aspect of his personality. Starlito is after all a consummate rap professional.

Quotable Lyrics:

Offline I really get it
Big facts I'm in traffic
Money was my first habit
Hustlers we the worst addicts
Look at what I earned rapping
Been on my grind never turned back
