Legendary headphone brand Beats By Dre is getting ready to launch their latest set of Olympic ads for the upcoming Winter Games, which kick off on February 9th in Pyeongchang, South Korea. With several athletes featured in the campaign spots, like snowboarder Shaun White and skiier Lindsey Vonn, many individuals will undoubtedly have their public profiles given a shot of adrenaline by those ads. However, there's already one early winner in all of this: rapper G-Eazy.
The California-based artist, who has scored a Top Ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 so far this year with "No Limit," will have his track "The Beautiful & Damned" featured in the campaign spots during the Olympics, which will almost certainly expose him to a whole new audience and potentially allow him to win over thousands upon thousands of new fans in the process. You can check out the ads featuring White and Vonn below.
The visuals, which take on a gritty, sometimes eerie tone mesh well with Gerald's song, which brings this raw, emotional energy to the spots that Beats would have had a hard time replicating by using material from another track or artist. In the end, it's another win for G-Eazy, who continues his hot streak that began last year, dropping the album of the same name to near-universal critical praise and commercial success. Along with a song like "Him & I," which features his real-life boo Halsey, G looks to ride this added momentum to even greater heights in 2018.
