Eminem's reign continues following the release of his latest project Revival. While the album itself wasn't met with the many positive reviews, the project definitely served much better as an album for radio play than something that hip hop fans marveled. However, the singles that have dropped have still made moves on the American and international charts. Now, his latest single "River" marks another accomplishment in his career.
Eminem's "River" with Ed Sheeran has now peaked to number one on the U.K. charts, according to Billboard. The new peak marks Eminem's ninth number one single in the U.K. over the course of his career. The first single that hit the top of the U.K. singles chart was his legendary single "The Real Slim Shady." "Without Me," "Stan," "Lose Yourself" and his feature on "Smack That" with Akon are a few other singles that have hit that high on the charts.
Aside from the singles, he's also the first American artist to score seven consecutive number one album's in the U.K. after the release of Marshall Mathers LP 2.
While "River" sits high on the U.K. charts, Eminem recently revealed that he and Ed Sheeran have been working on an accompanying visual for their single. The rapper posted a picture on his Instagram of Ed Sheeran on the set for the video. It's unsure when it'll drop but it's likely it'll come in the upcoming weeks.
Eminem is also gearing up for an intimate performance at this year's pre-Grammy Awards party in NYC which is set to take place this upcoming weekend.
