It only took a couple of months for Kevin George to attract millions of streams with juicy tracks like "My Crew" and "High Like This." His latest offering entitled FORTINA serves as a follow-up to his debut EP, LOVELAND, which was self-produced and engineered by the artist himself. His new 7-track project is set to snowball his popularity by giving listeners a diverse sonic palette and catchy riffs. The EP's appeal is also bolstered by appearances from Billy, a fellow Connecticut artist, and Gunna.
Although the melodies are catchy, FORTINA takes the listeners through experimental territories. Kevin George, who also serves as executive producer on the project, describes his intention: "FORTINA is an ode to my favorite restaurant in my city," he explains. "I want the kids in my city to have something to be proud of. I want to continue to give my generation genre-bending, exciting songs."
The young up and comer is influenced by a wide range of styles put forth by artists such as Prince, Tame Impala, and The Weeknd. This solid repertoire of references allows Kevin George to offer his own brand of Hip Hop. His talent paired with his work ethic is sure to take him to the top.
