With all this talk about The Office possibly getting a reboot it's only natural that the cast and crew look back at the past seasons to really discuss what made the series so great. In honor of the 10 year anniversary of the episode that has been dubbed the funniest one to shoot, the cast and crew chatted with Rolling Stone about the behind-the-scenes happenings of season four, episode 13, "The Dinner Party."
Just to get on the same page, the episode followed Michael and his girlfriend Jan inviting the office over for dinner at their home. The whole night is filled with awkward moments, Dwight inviting himself over, Michael's teeny tiny T.V. and lots more.
"...When he's showing us his flatscreen television. And it's so tiny. We laughed so hard, like, tears were streaming down our faces," Jenna Fisher (Pam) said. "Every time they turned on the camera, either [Jenna] or me would just be absolutely in fits of laughter," Melora Hardin (Jan) added. "It probably took the longest of any of the other scenes, because we had to literally take a break and walk away to stop laughing. And I don't even know what we were laughing about. I think we were hot and exhausted."
"There's nothing more satisfying than having Steve Carell barely able to get through his lines," co-writer Lee Eisenberg also told the publication.
