Kodak Black is one of the fastest-rising personalities in hip-hop, with tracks like "Roll in Peace" and "Transportin'" propelling him up the charts and helping him take his streaming numbers to the next level. However, his child support bill is also on the rise, as per an update on one of the many court cases that he currently is in the midst of putting to bed for good.
According to Bossip, the Project Baby 2 rapper has been ordered to pay his baby mam Jammiah Broomfield a monthly child support stipend of $4,200. Kodak has agreed to give her the money directly, twelve times a year, until 2033. It's part of a deal that settles the support and child custody dispute that had been ongoing between the two parents of King Khalid, Kodak's child. Last month, Broomfield’s lawyer Sara Lawrence told the media outlet that the deal ensures the rapper will have has regular access to the boy and, in the end, the agreement that has been struck was fair to both sides.
“This was not easy to get to, but they love the kid, and he’s a cute little boy,” Lawrence said. It's one less legal problem that will continue to dog Kodak Black, who continues to face rape charges for a previous incident that took place in South Carolina. If convicted, he could face severe punishment, including the death penalty. However, that decision, one way or the other, seems to be a far way off.
For the time being, the Florida native continues to stay focused on his music career, which got a big boost recently after he teamed up with Lil Wayne for the track "Codeine Dreamin'." It appears on the new deluxe edition of his Project Baby 2 release, with comes tagged with the suffix All Grown Up. Kodak originally said he wanted to get Future to spit some bars on the song as well, but it looks like that didn't come together in enough time.
What do you think? Is "Codeine Dreamin" worth the hype, or did Kodak and Weezy come up with a dud? Let us know in the comments.
