Cardo Antonnio came through with his latest project a few days ago. Talk Talk is the artist's first LP. The album is the follow-up to his EP Baby Bounce, which dropped earlier this year. The Toronto rapper extends his universe in 12 tracks. The first one on the album is its lead single, which whose visuals were released last month. The production style of "Talk Talk" is reminiscent of some late 2000's pop-y rap tracks. Soulja Boy's "Kiss Me Thru The Phone" comes to mind. The synth loop is bright and summer ready layered with videogame-like leads. This type of instrumental is found throughout most of the record with different variations. For example, some Latin flavor is added to "Kalipari" and reggaeton drum programming lays the foundation on "Su Amor." Finally, the album has a mellow ending with "Expensive." Antonnio croons about a girl without the flagrant auto-tune found on the opening track, given the project laid-back closure.
