Even though he’s behind bars at the moment with his homie Kodak Black, that’s not stopping fellow Sniper Gang rapper Jackboy from releasing new music. Today, the Florida native decides to come through and share a new single with Rich Homie Quan called “Luv.”
Over production from Yung Lan, Jackboy delivers a melodic & midtempo “luv” ballad that finds him asking his girl to hold him down while he’s gone, meanwhile Quan lays down his respective verse, reflecting on his tough come up & referencing Kodak Black in the process. “Shout out the Haitians, Kodak keep your head up/ Jackboy relay it,” Quan spits. No word yet if this will see life on any upcoming project or just serve as a nice Summertime single, but either way we’ll definitely take it.
Take a listen to the melodic collab and let us know what you think!
Quotable Lyrics:
Girl hold me down like that weight on your shoulders
Solitairy rocks in her ears that look like boulders
Learnt the game by myself had nobody to coach us
Turn the lights on niggas scatter like the roaches
