Youngboy Never Broke Again's "Run It Up" Is More Than A Bonus Track

The new track from "Reloaded" is as essential as the original songs.

"Run It Up" is one of 7 tracks appended to Youngboy Never Broke Again's debut album Until Death Call My Name as part of the "Reloaded" version of the album. While deluxe re-releases of albums often contain a collection of bonus tracks that sound a lot like b-sides, Youngboy's catalog runs deep enough that the new songs are of a high quality, and "Run It Up," while not containing a major feature like a few or the other records, is a definite highlight. The track moves at a steady clip, and Youngboy's emotional vocal performance keeps the momentum up. Some of his descending melodies sound like they come out of fellow Baton Rouge rapper Kevin Gates' playbook, but Youngboy's unique voice and incredible pen take it to a new place. Every moment is as carefully written as a verse but as catchy as a hook, and at times it's hard to tell the two apart, which all ultimately adds to the urgency of the records, ending in time for the rapper to catch his breath.

Quotable Lyrics:
Spit on the track like a dog
I'mma foam from the mouth
Like I'm having a seizure
They ain't never pick up when I call
When they call my phone back I don't need 'em
