Post Malone thought LeBron James' ejection was actually a good thing.

Post Malone may not be the darling of the hip-hop world at the moment, but that doesn't mean he's lost his ability to comment on current events issues, especially when it's related to another passion of his: the NBA

TMZ caught up with the "rockstar" rapper in Los Angeles to ask him about LeBron James' ejection during last night's game against the Miami Heat. He got teed up by referee Kane Fitzgerald after complaining about a non-call on an alleged foul that he sustained while shooting. LeBron promptly got ejected from the game, with boos raining down from the hometown Cleveland crowd. However, as far as Post Malone is concerned, LeBron did what he had to do.

Although he didn't watch the game first hand, Posty shrugged off the ejection and had some low-key words in response to the incident. "F**k it, if you're passionate about it, that's cool," he said, referring to LeBron making the decision to blow up at Fitzgerald for what he felt was poor officiating. The Cavaliers star has been known to get in the grill of many refs over the years because of calls he didn't think were fairly executed, but surprisingly, this was the first time he's been thrown out of a game in his 15-year career. Unfortunately, that streak of rule-abiding behavior on the court has come to an end.

This was the first time Post Malone has been approached by a media outlet with question that wasn't connected to his controversial comments about hip-hop and how "real" it is. "If you're looking for lyrics, if you're looking to cry, if you're looking to think about life, don't listen to hip-hop," he said in the original quote, words he has since apologized for publicly.

“Who am I to tell you don't listen to this. And whenever you wanna feel something don't listen to this. Or who am I to tell you that you should feel a certain way when listening to something,” he stated via Twitter. “I love hip hop. I make hip hop. I want to take this genre and stretch it so far that people who may not listen to it, listen to it,” he added.
