It’s been long time coming, since May of 2016 to be exact when he first announced the album Heartbreak On A Full Moon & released the single “Grass Is Greener,” but nearly a year and a half later, Chris Brown’s highly anticipated 8th studio album has finally arrived.
Serving as a double album, laced with a whopping 45 songs in total, the follow up to 2015's Royalty features guest appearances from a slew of household names, including Future, Young Thug, Lil Yachty, Usher, Gucci Mane, R. Kelly, Kodak Black, Ty Dolla $ign, Verse Simmonds, Jhene Aiko, Dej Loaf, and more. Meanwhile production is handled by the likes of A1, Boi-1da, Scott Stortch, Deko, Prince Chrishan, Richie Souf, Yung Berg, Tariq Beats, and more. The project features a little bit of everything from Chris, a little pop, dance, and R&B he says.
“For me I think about everything that I went through. Whether it be certain substance songs that I feel lack in our genre of music. Even real songs.” Chris said. “With this album I wanted to capture all basis of who my audience liked. What songs they could actually identify with so more R&B my girl fans love it, they gone have it. More pop you going to have it, but it still gon’ by my essence, and me not trying to culture vulture or take anybodies style.”
“More of the album that you see is singles now, is more of the collabs. When you listen to the albums its more in depth about me. So you get 40 songs, so I wanted to show people hey man why cant we all push ourselves to make 45 bangers,” Chris added.
Led by a slew of previously heard singles, including “Party,” “Pills & Automobiles” & “High End” to name just a few, fans can now stream the project in its entirety via Apple Music. Hit play and let us know what you think. Look for physical copies to be available this Friday, November 3rd.
