Last night, Kendrick Lamar dropped off his beautiful video for "LOVE." off his critically-acclaimed, DAMN. album last night. While the visuals maintained the same quality level as each other visual off the project, he managed to sneak in a little teaser of some upcoming plans. It was slick but it was definitely an indication of new music from Kendrick Lamar in the near future.
Kendrick Lamar dropped off a quick hint on some upcoming project's he's working on for next year. Halfway through the video for "LOVE.," a clapperboard pops up very quickly that says, "B. Panther. Soundtrack. Coming Soon." While it's brief and you probably need to rewind and rewatch once or twice before you really pick up on it, it seems like we'll be getting some new Kendrick Lamar music on the upcoming Black Panther movie. The contributions aren't all that shocking considering that Marvel previously used Kendrick's "DNA." for the trailer they previewed at San Diego's Comic-Con H panel.
Peep the hint below.
Kendrick seems to already have some things scheduled for 2018. Earlier this week, ESPN announced that he'd be the inaugural halftime performer for the College Football Playoff Championship. The Compton rapper will hit the stage on January 8th, 2018 at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park.
Kendrick is also nominated for seven Grammy nominations for the 2018 ceremony. The rapper's going head to head with Jay-Z for Rap Album Of The Year and Album Of The Year. In addition to that, he's also nominated for "Record Of The Year" for "HUMBLE."
