South Florida has certainly produced a large number of rap stars in the last few years: Denzel Curry, Kodak Black, Lil Pump, and Smokrpurpp just to name a few. KieMoney, an affiliate of Robb Banks, another of Florida's ambassadors, is looking to be the next rapper to break from the region. His new track, "Rap On Freestyle," has a Southern throwback feel to it, built off of some midi sounds reminiscent of early Cash Money or late 90s Three 6 Mafia. The real appeal here is Kie's rapping -- he sounds hungry, and he's as stylish as he is technically proficient -- almost like a young Juvenile.
Kie has been sharpening his skills over the last few years. He previously appeared on Banks' No Rooftops project released in 2016. His latest SoundCloud single is said to be included on the upcoming Wrath mixtape. Look out for that soon.
