We're not sure what happened.

Ah yes, the "Star Spangled Banner." The test of all tests. Here's a little trivia courtesy of our good friends at Wikipedia. The song has a range of 19 semitones which is why it is known for being notoriously difficult to sing. This, however does not stop top vocalists from adding their own flair, sometimes increasing the difficulty in the process, and placing themselves at the mercy of the public scope.

The latest artist to fall under scrutiny for their attempt at singing the National Anthem of the United States is Fergie. Sunday evening, the Grammy Award-winning songstress opened up this year's NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles with a rather interesting rendition as she attempted to bring about soulful and sultry elements to the song. Unfortunately for the singer, her attempts were not received as planned and it was obvious judging by reactions from players and celebrities alike caught on camera.

Notably, Draymond Green's failed attempt at stifling his reaction garnered an eruption of laughter inside of Staples Center Sunday night while Lebron James struggled to keep a smile from creeping on his face and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was caught in the act of curbing his own laughter at the singer-songwriters' expense.

This isn't the first time we've run into such a situation, of course. You'll recall singer Christina Aguilera's own flub of the "Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl in 2011. She'd soon get her shot at redemption at a minor league baseball match the same year. She had no trouble bouncing back and we're sure Fergie won't either.
