Treach of Naughty By Nature took to Twitter to "officially fire" his fellow group member, Vin.

Following in the footsteps of Havoc during the Mobb Deep break-up debacle with Prodigy, Treach of Naughty By Nature has taken to Twitter to air out frustrations with his rapping partner, Vin Rock, and announce that he's "officially fired."

Treach posted on Twitter last night, denouncing Vin from the group. "Vinnie from NAUGHTY BY NATURE is Officially FIRED!! Anything he does besides shows til Sept is Frugazy!! Fuck him & the Ground he Walks!!," Treach tweeted.

He tweeted once more, "Anybody that fucks with that Bitch ass Nigga Don't Fuck with Me!!"

Vin responded by posting an image on his Instagram of the Native American icon Sitting Bull, along with a quote. This image was also posted on the Naughty By Nature Twitter page.

The quote says in part, "Warriors are not what you what you think of as warriors. The warrior is not someone who fights, because no one has the right to take another life. The warrior, for us, is one who sacrifices himself for the good of others."  See the full image and quote in the gallery above.

Naughty By Nature formed as a trio in the late 1980s, and had their first major hit with the single "O.P.P." in 1991. Since their formation (originally under the name "The New Style") they've released seven albums.

We'll have to see if this, like the Mobb Deep break-up, turns into a reunion soon after, or if Treach and Vinnie are serious about parting ways.

[Update: Vin Rock Responds]

Vin Rock has responded to Treach's claims that the rapper has been "fired" from Naught By Nature. Vin used the group's official twitter account (which he controls) to respond to Treach, and argued that he can't be fired, as he is the "owner" of the group. Whether or not this is entirely true, he is known to have handled the majority of the business side of Naught By Nature for the last 20 years.

Treach later tweeted to confirm that none of the NBN tour dates will be cancelled.
