Ray J got the gossip sites and hip-hop sites alike talking when he dropped some intriguing cover art for his new single, "I Hit It First." The title and art seemed like a blatant reference to his former girlfriend, now Kanye West's baby mama, Kim Kardashian.
The song dropped over the weekend, and now Ray J called into Hot 97 and spoke briefly on it. Although all indicators may point otherwise, Ray J says people are digging too deep into the song, and he's not trying to start a war-- he also denies it's about Kim K, but rather it's a "concept." He laughed at the question of whether or not he was still in love in with Kim K. What do you think?
When asked about the song content Ray J said, "Yo it's a song, it's not about that, it's about a concept. People goin' way too deep. They just gotta keep it on the surface." Ray J added, "Like, I'm not tryna create no war, it's all love."
Ray J said they're just trying to have fun, "I think people diggin in it too deep, like it's a song, we just tryna have fun."
